Welcome to the Free Festival Performers Area

Aplications are now open for Fringe 2022

Here you can find out information on performing with us, and how to submit your show details to us - all of this can be done online via this website. You can also find all of the downloads to use as a performer at this years Festival.

There are some changes for 2022 shows - so please make sure you read all the details here before you apply, even if you have performerd with us before. This particularly relates to the application process as we have shows rolled over from the cancelled 2020 Fringe, and there now being a choice of entry methods with 'Pay What You Can' ticketing as well as the traditional free and unticketed entry.

Laughing Horse Free Festival

Although we are now proggramed, applications remain open for the 2022 Free Festival for any late added spaces - with shows running from August 4th to 28th in 2022

If you are a peformer with a new show for 2022
  • Please read through all of the information in this performers area, before submitting your application by logging in here
  • We will start to offer spaces to new shows during February. Please note this year we need to offer to shows which rolled-over from the cancelled 2020 Fringe first, so there may be less choice than in a normal year.
If you are a performer with a show rolled-over from the cancelled 2020 who didn't perform at the 2021 Fringe
  • We will contact you by the end of January to discuss your rolled-over slot. If you haven't heard from us please email!
  • If your 2020 venue is running in 2022, you'll be able to have the same or a very similar timeslot to the one agreed in 2020.
  • If your venue isn't running in 2022, you will be offered the best similar slot available before any new shows are programmed - if this isn't suitable we can refund your 2020 performers contribution.
  • If you have decided to not perform in 2022, we can refund your 2020 performers contrubution - we won't be rolling over again to 2023.
  • You should still submit a new application for your rolled-over show by logging in here - we are assuming most shows will likely be somewhat different now from the before times in January 2020! Do read the information on these pages, especially the options to do pay-what-you-can entry or free/unticketed entry which are difffereny from before.
If you performed with us in 2021 having rolled-over from 2020
  • Please read through all of the information in this performers area, before submitting your application by logging in here
  • We will start to offer spaces to shows during February. We will offer returning shows priority over new applications, but will need to offer spaces to shows rolled-over from the cancelled 2020 Fringe first.
If you wish to present more than one show, you need to complete a separate application for each show.

If you have performed with the Free Festival previously, or with the Laughing Horse at festivals in Brighton or Adelaide, you will already have a login, and you can use the same login again.
