Ship of Fool is the story of one man's obsession with rowing (or indeed pedalling) across the Atlantic.

Back in 2003, Rob set off on this perilous journey utterly unprepared. With no courses to his name, and with someone with whom he was utterly incompatible, he survived for the short time he was on the boat on ignorance and chocolate.

12 years and one more unsuccessful attempt later, Rob (now aged 50) really wants to have another go at crossing the ocean in a small boat.

But is this wise? Should the coastguard be informed? Why does he have this obsession? What happened to make the two trips go so badly wrong? What's it like being in a small boat, thousands of miles from land, with one other human being for company? What does a day in the life of an ocean rower consist of? And, frankly, who would want to go with him anyway?

Join Rob on a journey that takes him from failure to … well, no one quite knows. Exciting, isn't it?
