In an alternate universe there lies a place where everything is juxtaposed, where cardboard is classy, where alternative facts become live entertainment while the show is mere intervals for your inappropriate pleasure.

You will witness the bizarre ending to a long journey of madness where absolute creative freedom becomes imaginatively explosive. You will experience the final release of Josephine D’Love as she reveals herself, taking you through the charming prowess of a retrospective of her finest work.

No Regrets: Josephine D’Love and The Burlesque Liberation Front

Josephine D’Love, founder and sole member of The Burlesque Liberation Front, has spent a good chunk of her decade long career stealthily traversing the stage. Her fight for creative freedom has often seen her in the spotlight, holding hastily crafted, cardboard props with her bare hands, secretly hidden behind the persona of Ophelia Woody.

Over the years, she has successfully gone unnoticed by some of the biggest names in burlesque both near and afar.

But when amateur, unknown show producer and performer Ophelia Woody approached Josephine about making a show about her clandestine career, the saboteur clearly wasn’t very interested.

“I was persistent,” Woody told Burlesque Insider. After about three years Josephine agreed.

“Josephine was hesitant to remove the mask and reveal her true identity, but eventually realized her tits weren’t going to be enough forever.” She finally consented to imply her story, on how she pulled it off.

During that time, Ophelia began to build a friendship with Josephine, who relayed to her that she was sincere about doing a show about herself. Ophelia had also brought on imaginary TV producer Moe Beta (co-creator of “Bitches”) to executive produce.

Moe Beta’s involvement helped land Gnatflix, the streaming service. They agreed to take on the story after seeing some video Ophelia shot, the most striking of which shows Josephine allegedly catching herself on fire in a failed sabotage attempt. This news escaped media around the world.

Stay tuned for more about the making of No Regrets: Josephine D'Love and The Burlesque Liberation Front....
