"Cold as Icelandic" is an internationally themed standup comedy show from a single guy in his late twenties who has spent most of his life living out of a suitcase. Having always been an outsider, both in foreign countries and at home - Helgi Steinar has had the privilege of observing the norms and extremities of society and properly placed them into observational comedy. Armed only with a bit of wit and drunken cynicism, he takes on the establishment, political gridlock, marriage, nationalism and other traditions that are - for lack of a better term - hilarious.

After growing up in America, attending university in China and working as a tour guide in Scotland - Helgi Steinar has comedically analyzed the world as well as his potential future possibilities. The country of his childhood is being traumatized by an insane man-child in the White House who also won't let him move back to Asia because he keeps threatening to blow it up. His home country of Iceland keeps voting for the same people who crashed the economy and the volcanoes around it seem to have a never-ending vendetta against international air travel.

With all this fun around the world, what better time than to laugh at it all, and to Helgi, nothing is sacred - the politics, the Björk, the international stereotypes. This 60-minute standup comedy show is full of honesty, ridicule, international anecdotes and hopes to leave audiences wondering whether the grass is truly greener on the other side or whether the other side is just an ice-cold tundra like the one this comedian hails from.
